Carmel Film Forum 2017 (Event Overview)

Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) will host the 2017 Carmel Film Forum on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th. It’s a FREE, fun, educational event crowned by a film screening and Q&A with a successful Hollywood filmmaker.

On Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., James E. Moriarty of Moriarty Media will introduce Jon Schnepp, a successful Hollywood based producer, writer and director. James will have the first public screening of his new “Indy produced” short film, BYTE, and Jon will make the regional premiere of his feature length documentary, The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? James and Jon will have a Q&A session on what inspired Jon to make his film and the challenges Jon had with crowd funding and distribution.

BYTE The Movie

BYTE is a feature-length romantic drama/cyber thriller. It tells the story of a paparazzo who witnesses a car crash that results in the deaths of a famous rock star and a U.S. Senator. The paparazzo convinces his redheaded girl friend, an aspiring journalist, to help him investigate the accident. As they follow the clues given to them by associates of the deceased, they uncover a secret computer code, internet hacking and corporate corruption.
